What kind of progress would you make if you work on something for 58 days straight?
Quite a bit, as it turns out.
In today’s progress update:
Book progress
Current working title
Some other stuff
Remember those word problems in your math book? That stuff’s useful if you’re a writer:
I’m just past the halfway point in the draft, with 15 chapters left to write. The draft (including notes) has about 127,000 words right now, and there will be around 37 chapters total.
I write an average of 1,300 words per day. Every day.
My writing app thinks I’ll complete the draft in mid-December:

Not bad at all.
For the time being I have also updated the book title. Now it’s called:

This name beat out my others because, as always happens, it came to me randomly while outlining some dialogue. It captures the essence of the book in one phrase without being way too long.
I’ll send another one of these emails in a month or so.
Here’s to progress!

P.S. if you’re reading this on your birthday, happy birthday.
